How to Sort the File Order in Windows Media Player

Windows Media Player lists files in two places, and both lists can be sorted to your preference. The middle pane displays available media files from your playlist, which can be used to construct a playlist by dragging and dropping files into the right-hand pane. The Playlist displays a list of files currently selected to be played. This list is played in the sorted order.
