How to Connect an HDMI Cable to a Cable Box and a Samsung TV


Your cable box receives the signal from your cable service and transforms it into a format that can be displayed on your Samsung TV. To get the best picture quality with minimal connection steps, use an HDMI cable make the connection between your set-top box and the TV. HDMI carries both audio and video in a single cable, clearing up the mess of wires behind your home theater setup.

  • Locate the input panel on the rear of the Samsung TV. Find one of the four HDMI inputs.

  • Plug one side of the cable into one of the HDMI ports. Insert the end of the cable gently into the port, do not force it.
