      Download actions from the Internet and decompress the file to get the actual actions.

      Open the Elements program folder and "Click" on the Effects folder.

      Move the decompressed actions folder to the Effects folder.

      Delete the Effects cache by dragging the folder to the trash bin and then empty the trash. This will permit Effects to read the actions.

      Open Photoshop Elements, and go to "Window," "Palette" and click "Effects," and wait for actions to appear.

      Go to "File," "Open" and choose an image. "Click" on the thumbnail image from the listing to run the action.

Tips & Warnings

  • Close Photoshop Elements prior to downloading the actions and moving them into the Effects folder

  • The Effects cache requires deletion each time actions are placed in the folder
