How to Transfer Via Bluetooth
Transferring files between computers can be tricky if you don't have a spare storage device around or if your files are too big for your email client to send. Thankfully, Bluetooth technology has provided another way of moving your files around. Even if Bluetooth is not built into your computer, there are USB plug-ins that will act as the device for you.

Pairing Computers
-
1
Navigate to your Bluetooth settings via the "Control Panel." You can get there from the "Start" menu. From the menu, enable Bluetooth on both computers, and click "Add a Wireless Device" to start searching for the other computer.
-
2
Select your other computer from the list of Bluetooth-enabled devices that are listed in the results. The pairing process will now begin automatically.

-
3
Follow the prompts on the screen to complete the pairing. An authentication code will most likely appear, asking you to input it to the receiving computer to authenticate it.
Sending a File
-
4
Access the Bluetooth File Transfer Wizard by going to the "Start" Menu and looking under the Accessories folder. A window will pop up asking if you want to send or receive a file. Ensure that the computer that is receiving the file selects "Receive File" and the sending computer selects "Send File."
-
5
From the sending computer, select the receiving computer on the list that pops up. This will designate the other computer to receive the file. Click "Next" at the bottom of the screen.
-
6
Click the "Browse" button and navigate to the file that you wish so send. Select the file and hit "Next" to begin the transfer. From here, you may be required to enter another authentication code to authorize the transfer. When the transfer is complete, the program will notify you and prompt you to close the window.
