How Do You Cook Sweet Cured Bacon?

Sweet-cured bacon is a popular meat in the UK and is slowly gaining in popularity in the United States. Cooking sweet-cured bacon is basically the same as cooking salt-cured bacons, but it does tend to be cut slightly thicker. This means it might take longer to cook, and if you fry it there is more grease and mess. However, there are ways of cooking sweet-cured bacon that will help it retain the sweet flavor and juiciness without all of the grease-popping. Does this Spark an idea?

      Pre-heat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

      Cover the baking sheet with aluminum foil.

      Place sweet-cured bacon on the baking sheet, leaving about an inch between slices.

      Cook the bacon in the oven for about six minutes.

      Remove the bacon from the oven and turn it to ensure both sides crisp evenly. Return the bacon to the oven and cook for another six minutes. Note that sweet-cured bacon should not be as crispy as salt-cured bacon, to retain flavor.
