How to Upload Templates Via FTP in Windows Vista
Although more robust FTP clients exist for transferring files such as templates to an FTP server, Windows Vista includes a bare-bones client in Internet Explorer. The client allows you access to the server in order to view its contents, as well as to download files and upload them through a standard Explorer window, as if opening folders on your own computer.

Enter the FTP address of the site you want to upload the templates to in Internet Explorer.

Click "Page" in Internet Explorer and then click "Open FTP site in Windows Explorer."

Press the Alt button on your keyboard and click "File," then click "Login as" in the menu that appears.

Enter the username and password for the site at the prompt that appears. Click "Log On."

Double-click to open the folders that appear. Browse to the folder you want to upload the templates to.

Click and drag the template into the folder you want to upload it to to send it to the server.
