How to Add Fictionwise eBooks to Calibre

Ebook users may need a wide variety of file formats.

Fictionwise is an ebook retailer owned by Barnes and Noble. Despite its name, it sells fiction and nonfiction, short and long form, in a variety of formats. Because of the variety of formats, readers may find it useful to be able to convert and manage them using a program like Calibre, a free ebook management program available online.

Things You'll Need

• Computer with internet connection
• Calibre
• Fictionwise account

Instructions

1. Purchase your ebook through Fictionwise.

2. Click on the "My Bookshelf" tab at the top of Fictionwise.

3. Select your format of choice for your ebook and download.

4. Launch Calibre.

5. Click on the "Add Books" button at the top left corner of Calibre library page.

6. Locate the ebook to be added and click on it. It will be added to your Calibre Library.

Tips & Warnings

• Fictionwise ebooks are easy to locate on your computer; the file includes the name of the author and title of the book, rather than any sort of numerical code.
