How to Send an Email to a Virgin Mobile Phone

Save

If your friend who uses Virgin Mobile as his cell phone provider has a smartphone, his email accounts may be linked to his phone. In this case, you can simply send an email to his usual email account and expect that he will receive it. If he does not link his email accounts to his phone, however, your contact options are more limited. If you do not wish to call him or do not have access to a phone that can send text messages, email him a text message instead.

  • Address your email in the following format, where "(number)" is your friend's Virgin Mobile cell phone number: (number)@vmobl.com. For example, if your friend's number is 121-232-4545, address the email to 1212324545@vmobl.com.

  • Write your email as you would if it were not going to a cell phone. You do not need to change the process of writing the email in any way. To be polite and to make things clearer for your friend, however, keep the email brief. This prevents it from showing up as several different texts that may or may not be in order.

  • Send the email by clicking the "Send" or similar button, just as you would if you were sending it to an email account instead of a phone.

  • Check the email account from which you sent the message if you are expecting a response. If your friend replies to your emailed message, the reply arrives to your email inbox.
