How to Put in a Yaki Ponytail

Yaki synthetic-hair ponytails quickly add several inches of length to your hair. Yaki hairpieces often feature solid-color hair or ponytails with highlights and come in curly and straight textures. Installation tools consist of two combs and a drawstring around the ponytail opening, allowing for users to slide it on and off with little hassle.

Things You'll Need

• Brush
• Elastic ponytail holder
• Yaki ponytail

Instructions

1. Smooth your real hair back into a ponytail with the brush. Wrap the elastic ponytail holder around this ponytail to keep it secure.

2. Slide the Yaki ponytail onto your ponytail through the opening. You can reach through the wisps of hair in the Yaki ponytail to pull your hair down for comfort, depending on how long your hair is.

3. Attach the Yaki hair combs into the real hair around your ponytail holder. Stick the top comb right above the elastic ponytail holder. Insert the bottom comb into the hair right below the elastic ponytail holder on the underside of your ponytail.

4. Ease the drawstring tightly to close it around your ponytail. This cinches the Yaki ponytail and completes the stabilization effect so it doesn't slide out. Depending on how much excess drawstring is leftover, you might need to wind it around the base of the ponytail to hide it, otherwise it may hang below the length of your ponytail.

Tips & Warnings

• If your hair is thin and shoulder-length or shorter, you can put your real ponytail into a bun instead of just a ponytail. This helps the Yaki ponytail slide on without your real hair getting in the way.

• Do not add curls or straighten the Yaki ponytail with hot tools. Curling irons and flat irons will damage the synthetic hair.
