We all must throw up sometimes. Unfortunately, a toilet is not always close enough and our vomit ends up on the rug or carpet. The stench from throw up will fill the room and can even permeate other areas of your home if it is not removed. Vomit will also ruin the look of your rug and can leave a stain if it is not cleaned properly. Does this Spark an idea?

Things You'll Need

  • Old towels or paper towels
  • Baking soda
  • Vacuum
  • 1 tsp. dishwashing liquid
  • Sponge

Instructions

      Wipe up the vomit with a towel or paper towels. Remove as much of it from the rug as possible.

      Sprinkle baking soda on the vomit stain, and allow it to sit for 10 to 15 minutes.

      Vacuum the baking soda from the rug.

      Mix 1 tsp. of clear dishwashing liquid with 1 cup of water in a bowl. The water should be warm but not hot.

      Sponge the vomit stain with the dishwashing liquid solution until the liquid is absorbed in the rug.

      Sponge the stain with cold water to remove the dishwashing liquid solution.
