How to Find IP Addresses in Mozilla Firefox

The Mozilla Firefox web browser provides users with quick and easy Internet search and download capabilities. Firefox also comes with a variety of free add-ons that can be downloaded to augment the browser. These add-ons come in handy when you need to perform tasks beyond the browser's basic capabilities, such as finding your computer's IP address or the IP address of a website you are viewing. By using the Firefox "Tools" menu, you can find and download the perfect add-on for your IP address needs.

Instructions

1. Open Mozilla Firefox.

2. Click "Tools" in the menu bar at the top of the screen.

3. Click "Add-ons."

4. Click "Get Add-ons."

5. Click on the Search box. Type "find IP." Press "Enter."

6. Scroll through the list of available applications. There are several Firefox add-ons that track your IP address or find the IP address of each website you open. For instance, the add-on "ShowIP" will display a website's IP address automatically in your Firefox taskbar.

7. Click on the add-on best suited to your IP needs. Click "Add to Firefox." After the add-on downloads, restart Firefox. When Firefox is restarted, the add-on will appear in the browser ready to use.
