How to Test Out of a High School in Texas
Texas, as most states, has certain requirements that must be met in order for a student to graduate from high school. Texas has a testing requirement that allows students to test out of the regular high school program if they have met the minimum curriculum standards. Passing these tests allows students who home-school, students who don't function well in the regular classroom and students who are not planning on attending college a chance to get their diplomas early.
Instructions

1
Demonstrate a satisfactory performance in required minimum courses for graduation. This means the student must pass each class required by the Texas Education Agency and the Education Commissioner. Check with your school guidance counselor or the Texas Education Agency for a list of required courses.
-
2
Schedule a testing time with a Texas school district, Texas education service center, charter school, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) or other organizations designated by the commissioner of education as an approved testing source.
-
-
3
Pass the test at the level set by the Texas Education Agency that was in effect when the student first became eligible to take the test. Testing requirements are constantly changing, so this provides students a concrete testing plan based on when they became eligible.
-
4
Retest if necessary, according to the schedule given to you by the school guidance office.
