Do-It-Yourself Domain Names
Creating a unique domain name for your website or blog can be done by using a tool, such as Blogger. You can use a custom domain for your existing blog or purchase a custom domain. This allows you to use features that are included with Blogger or to host your content. Google charges $10 per year for you to create a unique domain for a blog or other website.

Go to the Blogger website and log into the dashboard using your email address and password.

Click the "Settings" option that is below the name of your blog. Click the "Publishing" link, and click the option for "Custom Domain."

Enter the domain or URL that you want to use for your blog into the "what address would you like your blog to have" text box. Click the "Check Availability" button to see if the address is available.

Click the "Continue to Registration" button to purchase the domain or URL. Enter the information that is required into the text boxes. This includes your name, email address, home address and your current phone number.

Put a check in the box for "I have read the eNom Universal Terms of Service." Click the "Proceed to Google Checkout" button to continue.

Click the "Place your order now" button to purchase the domain or URL. Allow three to four days for the new domain or URL to update for your blog.

Tips & Warnings
Google will create a DNS entry automatically if you purchase a domain or URL through Blogger.
