Taking a picture of a friend you are talking to on Skype is a way to capture the emotions in your video chat. You can use the photo as your Skype profile picture or upload it to iPhoto on your Mac. If video chat is the primary way you get to see your friends and family, taking a photo of them on Skype is a way to remember them. You can take snapshots on Skype 2.8 and newer.

Instructions

  1. Take a photo of another person on Skype

    • 1

      Login to your Skype account.

    • 2

      Start a video chat with another Skype user.

    • 3

      Click on "Snapshot" at the top of the calling screen during your video chat when you are ready to take a photo of the other person. Once the photo is taken, your photo gallery will open. Click on the left and right arrows to scroll through your photo gallery and see the snapshots you have taken.
