How to Write a Letter to Laura Bush

Be sure to include a self-addressed, stamped envelope for her return correspondence.

Laura Welch Bush is the wife of George W. Bush, the 43rd president of the United States. A former teacher and librarian, she heads many charitable foundations, including the Laura Bush Foundation for America's Libraries. She is also an honorary ambassador for the United Nations Literacy Decade. She will send an autographed bookplate for her autobiography, "Spoken From the Heart," to people who request one by mail.

Instructions

1. Compose a letter to Laura Bush. Include anything that you wish to say to her. Request an autographed bookplate for your copy of "Spoken From the Heart" if you want one. If the bookplate is to be a gift, include the recipient's name.

2. Include a self-addressed, stamped envelope. Your autographed bookplate will arrive in it.

3. Place the letter and envelope into another envelope and address it to:

4. Put a stamp on the envelope and mail it.
