Contacting the court usually occurs through the clerk's office.

If you ever find yourself involved in a legal battle or trial, in the majority of states you'll have to communicate directly through the clerk's office. If you have questions or concerns you'd like to raise to the court or motions you'd like to file, you'll have to do that all through this particular office. When writing to clerk you'll want to represent yourself as professionally as possible. This begins with addressing the court's clerk office accurately in salutation and on the outer envelope.
