When you are browsing the Internet, you may come across phone numbers you want to call. If you have Skype, you don't need to write down the number and then open Skype, or use a cell phone to make the call. Instead, use Skype Click to Call to make the call via Skype directly from the browser by simply clicking on the phone number.
Go to the Skype Click to Call website (see Resources) and download Skype Click to Call by clicking the green "Download Skype Click to Call" button.
Click the downloaded file to begin the installation. For example, in Google Chrome and Internet Explorer, the downloaded file displays as a button at the bottom left of the screen. In Firefox, click the download arrow icon in the menu bar. Install the software following the steps in the installation wizard.
Navigate to your browser's extensions or add-ons section. Click the "Toolbar" icon and select "Manage Add-ons" in IE. In Google Chrome, click the "Customize and Control Google Chrome" button and choose "Settings" from the drop-down menu. In Firefox, click the "Open Menu" button and click the "Add-ons" button.
Scroll down in the Toolbars and Extensions section until you find Skype Click to Call. If it is disabled, select it and click the "Enable" button. In Google Chrome, click "Extensions" and scroll down until you find Skype Click to Call. If it is not automatically enabled, click the "Enable" check box to enable it. In Firefox, scroll down to Skype Click to Call and click the "Enable" button if it is not already enabled.
Mouse over a phone number displayed on your browser. It should be blue and have the Skype icon next to it. Click "Call" to call the number via Skype.
