How to Copy My Desktop Background Appearance Setting to Another Windows XP

The background appearance setting in Windows XP is called the "Desktop Wallpaper." The desktop wallpaper may be changed in the "Display" settings in the Windows XP Control Panel. One of the wallpapers provided by Microsoft may be used, or a personal picture or image may be set as the desktop wallpaper. Images in .bmp, .jpg, .gif, .dib and .png formats may be used as wallpaper images. The images may be centered, tiled or stretched to fit the desktop. If your wallpaper is one of the default Windows XP wallpapers, the same wallpaper will be available on the new Windows XP computer. Otherwise, check the Display settings for the path to the wallpaper image and copy the image to a removable drive for the new Windows XP computer.
