How to Find URLs Linked to My Website

When another website links to your website on the Internet, it creates an inbound link. Inbound links are important because search engines, such as Google, rank the importance of websites based on the number of inbound links they have from other websites. You can find the URLs of websites that link to your website by using a special type of search in online search engines. The results of the search will display websites that currently link to your site.

Instructions

    • 1

Open your Internet browser and navigate to a search engine such as Google or AltaVista.

    • 2

Type the following search query in the search box: "link:yourdomain" without the quotation marks.

    • 3

Replace "yourdomain" with the actual domain or webpage URL of your website, including http://.

    • 4

Press the "Enter" key on your keyboard to view the search results. The results will display URLs of websites that link to your website.
