How to Add AT&T Webmail to an iPhone

Save

The iPhone provides a service where you can connect your webmail address. You set up the email address on your iPhone email services section. AT&T uses Yahoo services for webmail, so you must set up your AT&T mail using the Yahoo servers. After the webmail service is set up, you can view your AT&T email while you travel for work or pleasure.

  • Press the "Settings" button on the iPhone home screen. Press "Mail" to open a list of configured mail accounts. Press the "Add Account" button to open a template where you enter your AT&T mail information.

  • Press "Other" from the list of email server type options. Choose "POP" for the email server configurations. Press the text box labeled "Name." A keyboard displays. Type your name in the text box.

  • Type "pop.att.yahoo.com" in the "Incoming Host Name" text box. Type "smtp.att.yahoo.com" in the "Outgoing Host Name" text box. Type your AT&T user name and password in the "User Name" and "Password" text boxes.

  • Press "OK" to save the changes. Press the "Home" button to return to the home screen. Press the "Mail" icon to open your mail window. Press the new "AT&T" mail icon to retrieve your email.
