How to Transfer Songs From Media Player to BlackBerry Curve

The BlackBerry Curve smartphone by Research in Motion features a media player that lets you listen to your music files on the go. When you connect your BlackBerry Curve to your computer and enable USB mass storage mode, you can access your BlackBerry Curve's memory card as a removable disk in Windows, and you can transfer songs from your Windows Media Player library to your BlackBerry Curve.

Things You'll Need

• USB data cable
• MicroSD memory card

Instructions

1. Press the door release latch on the back of your BlackBerry Curve, lift the battery door off of the phone and slide your MicroSD memory card into the memory card slot. Replace the battery and the battery door and hold down the "End/Power" key to turn your BlackBerry Curve on.

2. Connect your BlackBerry Curve to your computer with your USB data cable.

3. Press the "Menu" key, select "Options" and open the "Media Card" menu.

4. Scroll to the "Mass Storage Mode Support" field, press the "Menu" key and click "Enable USB Mass Storage."

5. Launch Windows Media Player. Click "Music" in the list of libraries on the left side of the window to view your songs and click the "Sync" tab in the upper-right corner.

6. Drag the songs you want to transfer to your BlackBerry Curve from your music library to the sync list on the right side of the screen.

7. Click the "Start sync" button above the sync list.

Tips & Warnings

• The BlackBerry Curve supports songs with AAC, AMR, FLAC, MP3, M4A, OGG, WMA and WAV file types.
