How to Print Two PDF Pages on One Sheet

Save

The Portable Document Format (PDF) is often a recommended file format for universal distribution. A free Adobe Reader program is used to open the PDF files and configure settings such as the printing format. PDF documents often contain multiple pages that, when printed, use up a lot of paper. To save on paper and costs, Adobe Reader allows users to print multiple pages per sheet by scaling the size down of individual pages. Printing two pages per one sheet is often recommended for large documents, and saves on paper and time.

  • Open the PDF document of your choice. Double-click the PDF icon from your desktop. The document opens in Adobe Reader.

  • Click the "Printer" icon located in the upper-left corner of the Adobe Reader application. The Print window launches.

  • Click "Multiple pages per sheet" option from the drop-down under "Page Scaling."

  • Select "2" under "Pages per sheet" then click "OK" to print.
