Burn a CD on the Insprion to create a back up of your valuable files, or to play on a standard DVD player. Insert the blank CD-R into the Inspiron's disc drive.
Click the "Burn files to disc using Windows Explorer," in the Auto Play window that appears.
Type in a name for the CD in the "Disc Title" box, and click the "With a CD/DVD player" option. Click "Next" to open an empty folder to stage the burn process.
Drag the files you want to burn into the empty disc folder. Hold down "Ctrl" to select multiple files at one time.
Click the "Burn To Disc" button to write the files to the CD. The disc will be ejected once the files are completely copied.
