How to Search Completed Items on eBay
A search of completed listings on the eBay website provides valuable information to both buyers and sellers. The information available in the completed listings can give you a general idea of what specific items typically sell for, whether they are popular with buyers and how often eBay users offer the items for sale. You must have a valid eBay account to view completed listings.

Go to the eBay Web page using your browser, click the "Sign In" link and use your username and password to log on.

Click the blue "Advanced" link next to the "Search" button.

Type details of the item you wish to search for in the Enter Keywords or Item Number field.

Click the "Completed Listings" check box underneath the Search Including heading.

Click the blue "Search" button. A list of completed items including your search terms appears.

Within the completed listings, the cost of items that successfully sold show in green and items that failed to sell show in red. This information can help you gauge the popularity of items.
If you select search options within the "Advanced Search" menu that refer to current items, such as items with a certain number of bids, the eBay site grays out the "Completed Listings" option. Clear the relevant check boxes to re-enable the completed listings search.
