Save

The Wi-Fi adapter in your Dell Inspiron 1545 is a small card located in a compartment on the bottom of the computer. This adapter allows you to connect wirelessly to the Internet. You can turn on your wireless Internet from the keyboard on your computer. This makes it easy to enable wireless access on your Inspiron and you don't have to be tech savvy in order to do it.

  • Turn on your Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop and locate the "Wireless" key at the top of the keyboard. This is the key with an icon of a broadcasting signal tower.

  • Press the "Wireless" key to enable wireless Internet access. The Wi-Fi indicator on the bottom of the taskbar on your computer's desktop screen will display that Wi-Fi is enabled.

  • Press the "Wireless" key again to disable the wireless Internet connection. You can toggle between these two settings with the "Wireless" key.
