How to File a Do Not Call Report

Prevent telemarketers from calling you by registering your number.

When you file your telephone numbers with the National Do Not Call Registry, they remain on there permanently and telemarketers cannot call the numbers that you have registered. As of 2008, consumers have registered more than 157 million telephone numbers on the National Do Not Call Registry. After 31 days, if you receive a telemarketing call you can report it to the Federal Trade Commission and that telemarketer will face fines; however, keep in mind that survey takers, political candidates and businesses you have provided with your number may still call you.
