How to Extend an Apple Warranty

Apple products such as iPods, iPads, iPhones and Mac computers carry a one-year limited warranty and up to 90 days of phone support, according to Apple.com in April 2011. Those warranties can be increased to up to three years, depending on the product, but the extension must be purchased while the original warranty is still in effect. If you would like to extend the warranty on an Apple product, you have the option to do so right on the company's website.
