"Pokémon HeartGold" Safari Zone: How to Level Up Blocks

In "Pokémon HeartGold," you can use blocks in the Safari Zone to attract certain Pokémon to the area. The level of the block determines which kinds of Pokémon the block will tend to attract; the higher the level of the block, the greater the chance it will attract a higher level Pokémon. The process of leveling up these blocks can be tedious, but the results can pay off for trainers looking to find rare Pokémon.

Instructions

1. Travel to a location in the Safari Zone with a block. If you do not have a block, you can purchase one from the vendors at the entrance to the area.

2. Open the game's menu by pressing "Y".

3. Click on "Items" to display your available items.

4. Click on the block you have. Options for the item will be displayed.

5. Press "Place" or "Drop," depending on the block, to place the block on the ground. When you return to the game, the block should be on the ground. The block will gain experience and level up the longer it is left out.

6. Pick up the block after several days, weeks or even months to see how much the block has leveled up.
