How to Get Rid of Trojan-Downloader.Win32.Agent Variant

Trojan-Downloader.Win32.Agent is a malicious trojan that affects the Windows operating systems. The trojan disguises itself as a legitimate file, such as a video codec, in order to trick users into downloading it onto their computer. Once downloaded, the trojan begins to download additional malware. Consequently, in addition to manually removing Trojan-Downloader.Win32.Agent, you should run an up to date anti-malware program to remove any additional malware and trojan variants.

Instructions

1. Press the Ctrl, Shift and Escape keys simultaneously to open the Processes tab of the Windows Task Manager.

2. End the following processes. To end a process, right-click the process then select "End Process."

   5102.exe

3. Close the Windows Task Manager.

4. Click "Start" then click inside the "Search Programs and Files" box.

5. Search for and delete the following files. To delete a file, right-click the file and select "Delete."
