How to Throw in Donkey Kong Country
"Donkey Kong Country" was first released for Super Nintendo in 1994, then the Gameboy in 2000 and was finally revamped for the Wii in 2010. The controls vary from system to system, but the basics of throwing an item are the same for all three. You'll need to press and hold a certain button to pick up an item and then release that button to throw it.

Approach a barrel or any other item that can be thrown. Press and hold either "B" or "Z" to pick up an item. Release the same button to throw the item.
