Salvation Bracelet Instructions
Salvation bracelets are a Christian ministry tool for explaining the gospel, particularly to young children. The bracelet has five or six beads of different colors, each representing a different aspect of salvation. This symbolism can serve as a witnessing tool, or as a mnemonic device for children just learning about the gospel. Salvation bracelets are a simple craft that children can make with you as part of a Sunday school lesson or other church activity.
Things You'll Need
- Hemp or leather cord
- Scissors
- Plastic pony beads in the colors black, red, blue, green, white, and yellow or gold
Instructions
-
-
1
Cut a length of hemp or leather cord, about 14 to 16 inches long, for each bracelet you want to make.
-
2
Tie a knot about one-third of the way up the cord. Make sure the knot is big enough that it won't slip through the holes of the pony beads.
-
-
3
String one bead of each color onto the cord. As you do, note the meaning of the beads: black is for sin, red is for the blood of Christ, white is for God cleansing sin, blue is for baptism in water, green is for growing in Christ, and yellow or gold is for the promise of heaven.
-
4
Tie another knot, as close to the last bead as possible. This will prevent the beads from slipping off the cord.
-
5
Tie the bracelet around the wrist of the person who is wearing it and trim the ends. Leave enough room for her to slip the bracelet off her wrist.

Tips & Warnings
If you are using salvation bracelets as an evangelism tool, include a card with the meaning of each color.
Verse references for each color will help teach the lesson of your salvation bracelet. Here are a few suggestions: Romans 3:23 for black, Romans 5:8 for red, John 1:12 for white, John 1:7 for green, John 3:5 for blue, and Revelation 21:21b for yellow or gold.
Hemp cord is cheaper than leather, but salvation bracelets made from leather cord will last longer.
