How to Convert Analog TVs to Digital

How to Convert Analog TVs to Digital thumbnail
Analog TVs require a converter box to receive digital TV broadcasts.

Analog TV signals stopped being used for broadcasting after all TV stations were required by the FCC to switch to digital by June 9, 2009. Digital TV allows TV stations to offer improved picture and enhanced audio quality, as well as offering more programming choices and additional interactive services that were not possible with analog TVs. If you still use an analog TV, you will be able to receive digital TV signals, but only after connecting a converter box to your set.

Screw the antenna wire into the "Antenna In" coaxial port on the digital converter box.

    • 6

Connect another coaxial cable to the "Out to TV" port on the back of the converter box.
