Directions for an Ice Tea Machine
An iced tea machine is an affordable way to make great tasting tea in your own home. Iced tea machines work very similar to coffee machines. Teas are brewed using brewing baskets to hold your favorite regular or flavored tea as water is filtered through the tea bags. The tea is slowly brewed and funneled into a removable pitcher that can be stored in the refrigerator. Using your iced tea machine can save you money and a few trips to the grocery store. Pour cold water into the the pitcher until it reaches the water level mark on the outside of the pitcher. Raise the lid to the reservoir and pour in the water.

Detach the brewing basket from the iced tea machine by pulling it from above the reservoir. Pour one cup of sugar into the sweetener chamber that lies beneath the brewing basket, if your are making sweet tea.

Place the brewing basket back on top of the sweetener chamber and place your favorite flavor or brand of tea bags into the basket. Refer to the directions on the tea bag box for tea measurements. Return the reservoir lid back to the closed position.

Turn the steeping control knob on the front of your tea machine to determine the brew strength of your tea. Turn the knob to the left hand side for mild flavor and right for a strong flavor. Put the cover on the pitcher to avoid spilling while brewing your tea.

Plug the power cord into the nearest electrical outlet. Press the power button located on the side of your iced tea machine to turn it to the "On" position. The brewing process will begin once the power is turned on. The tea machine will turn off automatically once the brewing has finished.

Remove the pitcher from the tea machine and it is ready to serve. Stir the tea using a wooden spoon or stirrer to blend the tea before pouring. Remove the reservoir lid and take out the used tea bags. Rinse the reservoir and sweetener chamber with water to clean them before the next use.

Tips & Warnings
Make sure water is added to the reservoir before turning on the power to the machine.
