How to Plan a Route With Google Earth


Google Earth is a free mapping application developed by Google. You can use Google Earth to plan a route between two points. The application will provide you with street-by-street directions to navigate between the points. Additionally, Google Earth can play a tour of the route showing a moving three-dimensional satellite map that navigates between the points.

  • Open the Google Earth application on your computer by double-clicking the Google Earth icon.

  • Click the "Get Directions" tab located in the upper left corner of the application.

  • Enter the address for the starting point of your route in the "From" field.

  • Enter the address for the ending point of your route in the "To" field.

  • Click the search icon to display detailed information about the route including street by street directions.

  • Click the "Play Tour" button to view a 3D representation of the route.
