A GIF file is a type of image file that you can place on an HTML website to add color and decoration to your page. You can use the Notepad program to edit the website HTML and add the code for the GIF image. To do this, the GIF image you want to use must already be uploaded to your website host server or an image storage service and you must have the GIF's URL address.
