How to Save PC Game Files to a USB Flash Drive

A USB flash drive consists of a small memory chip that is able to store data even when not powered. A USB (Universal Serial Bus) interface is embedded in one end of the flash drive for connecting to any computer, regardless of the operating system. Data can be stored, erased and then stored again. USB flash drives are mostly used as a secondary source of storage. Transferring files from one computer to another is also done via flash drives, as they are portable.

  • Navigate to the folder where the game files are located on the computer.

  • Copy the folder by right-clicking on it and selecting "Copy."

  • Insert the USB flash drive into the USB port of the computer.

  • Select "Open folder to view files" when the Autoplay window pops up on the screen.

  • Press "Ctrl" and "V" to transfer the files.
