How to Send a Baby Photo to a Modeling Agency

Save

Almost every new parent thinks their bundle of joy is the most beautiful baby ever to grace the face of the planet. If you're convinced your baby really is something special and that some time in the limelight will do your little girl or boy no harm, you've got nothing to lose by submitting a few snapshots to a modelling agency.

Things You'll Need

  • Digital camera
  • USB cable
  • Photo paper
  • Printer
  • Envelope
  • Compile a list of modeling agencies that have dedicated kids' divisions like City Model Management and Ford Models. Most of the larger agencies are based in big cities, but you may be able to find smaller operations near you if you live in a more rural area. Make a note of their email and postal addresses.

  • Take some good quality color photographs of your baby. Dress your child in stylish clothing that will appeal to the agencies you're planning to send the pictures to and think about the background and lighting of your image.

  • Navigate to the the websites of the agencies on your list to find out how they accept speculative submissions. If there is no information online, give them a call. Some may prefer to receive your application by email whereas others may request you send information through the post.

  • Connect your digital camera to your computer and follow the manufacturer's instructions to import pictures to your hard drive. Attach these to an email including information about the size, age and coloring of your baby and send them to the agencies on your list. If you're sending your submission through the post, you'll need to print this information along with your photos.
