The HTC HD2 cellphone is powered by the HTC model BB81100 1230 mAh capacity lithium-ion battery pack. The pack powers the phone's OS as well as the 4.3-inch touch screen and 5-megapixel autofocus camera. Whether you need to take out the battery because it is spent or defective, or to insert or remove the SIM card, accessing the battery usually takes less than a minute as the metal battery compartment cover and the battery simply lift from the phone.
Turn off your HTC HD2 if turned on.
Position the phone in front of you with the screen facing down.
Place your thumbnail in the groove on the left side of the cover and pry the cover up from the phone. Set the cover aside.
Place your fingernail in the groove at the top left corner of the battery and lift up to remove the battery from the compartment.
Tips & Warnings
- If you have difficulty prying the cover up from the back with your thumbnail, hold the top and bottom of the phone in your right hand with the screen facing down. Place the thumb on your left hand on the left side and push up on the cover to unlock it from the phone.
