How to Activate Capital One Online
Capital One makes online banking available to all of their customers with a personal or business checking or savings account. However, you can't just load the Capital One website for the first time and expect everything to go smoothly. Open your Web browser and visit the Capital One "Online Banking Enrollment" page for online banking. Click "Continue."

Read through the terms of service that you are required to agree to before you can use Capital One's online banking service. If you agree to the terms of service click "I Agree" and continue.

Type the requested information about your Capital One bank account into the boxes on the screen. You will need to provide your Social Security number, your address that the bank has on file and the account numbers for your checking or savings account. Click "Continue."

Choose an online user name and password for your Capital One online banking account. Select a security question from the drop-down menu and type the answer into the "Answer" box. This is used in the event that you forget your user name or password. Click "Submit" to activate your Capital One online banking account.
