How to Get Twitter Off Your Facebook

Installing the Twitter for Facebook application automatically posts all your Twitter updates to your Facebook profile page and home page, saving you the effort of updating both social-networking sites separately. If you no longer want to stream your Tweets direct to your Facebook account, you'll need to remove the Twitter for Facebook application from the "Privacy Settings" page on Facebook.

Instructions

    • 1

Open your computer's Web browser and log in to your Facebook account.

    • 2

Click the "Account" link at the top of your Facebook home page and select "Privacy Settings" from the drop-down menu.

    • 3

Find the "Applications and Websites" section at the bottom of the "Privacy Settings" page.

    • 4

Click the "Edit Your Settings" link.

    • 5

Click the "Twitter for Facebook" application link. If it's not listed, click the "Edit Settings" button to display a comprehensive list of your applications.

    • 6

Click the "Remove App" link beside the application.

    • 7

Click the "Remove" button in the confirmation pop-up window. Facebook will now remove the Twitter for Facebook application from your account.
