How to Reformat a Sandisk Memory Stick

SanDisk Memory Sticks are used in many different portable electronics. If the memory stick has an error, the stick needs reformatted, which is done by performing a standard format in a computer. In order to format a memory stick, the stick must be connected into a USB multi-card reader.

Things You'll Need

• USB multi-card reader
• Computer

Instructions

1. Plug the memory stick into the memory stick slot of the USB multi-card reader.

2. Plug the USB multi-card reader's USB cable into the computer's USB port.

3. Click the "Start" button.

4. Click "Computer."

5. Right-click the memory stick icon and click "Format."

6. Click "Format" to format the card.
