How to Add a Donation Box in WordPress
A donation button on your WordPress blog gives grateful visitors to your website the opportunity to send you money. Anyone who clicks on the donate button will be taken to PayPal's website through which they can send money directly to your PayPal account. You can place this button anywhere on your blog -- in a post, on the sidebar, or on a page of its own.

Log-in to your PayPal account.

Click the "Merchant Services" tab.

Click "Donate" under the "Create Buttons" list.

Fill out your desired information for the donation button, including the name of your organization and the currency accepted. You can change the visual display of the button and see a preview of it in the "Buyer's View" window to the right.

Click "Create Button."

Click the "Email" tab next to "Website." You need the e-mail button link because WordPress will strip the website form code when you try to enter it. Copy this link into a text document. You'll need it later.

Log-in to your WordPress account and open the editing window for any page or post on your blog.

Switch to "HTML Editor."

Create an image with the HTML "img" tag. PayPal provides a number of official buttons that you can use for the "src" attribute--see Resources.

Switch to "Visual Editor."

Click on the donation image to select it, then click on the "link" button on your toolbar.

Copy and paste the link you got from PayPal into the link field, then click "OK."

Publish the changes to your post, page, or sidebar widget. Your button is ready to receive donations.

Tips & Warnings
You need a Premier or Business account to access funds from PayPal. Premier accounts are free. If you have a Personal account, you can upgrade it to Premier. On your Account page, click on "Upgrade" next to "Account Type: Personal" near the top of the page.
