How to Make a Ribbon Belt With D-Rings
A quick way to add color to a dress or jazz up a plain outfit is to add a grosgrain-ribbon belt. Grosgrain ribbon comes in a fantastic variety of widths and colors, and in stripes, polka dots and patterns that can be teamed up with your wardrobe. And because the belts are easy enough for a beginner to make, you can have one to match every outfit.

Hide the raw edge at the opposite end of the ribbon by folding the edge over twice, about 1/2-in., and sewing the folded hem in place.

5
Wrap the belt around your waist. Thread the end of the belt through both D-rings heading away from your body. Then, thread the end through only the D-ring closest to your body. Pull the end to tighten the belt.
