Force deleting files from your Windows 7 computer bypasses placing the file in the Recycle Bin and permanently deletes the file from the computer. Bypassing placing the file in the Recycle Bin means you won't have to worry about other individuals who use the computer coming across a file you wanted to keep them from seeing. Force deleting files can be done in a few seconds.

Instructions

      Navigate to the screen or folder that contains the file that you want to delete.

      Click the file to highlight it.

      Hold down the "Shift" key, then press "Delete." The Delete dialog box appears on the screen.

      Click "Yes" to permanently delete the file from your computer.
