How to Search for the Name of an Attachment in Gmail
Google offers a free email service called Gmail that gives users several gigabytes of online storage capacity. Gmail first offered free email in 2004 and many users have compiled thousands of emails since then. Finding a specific email can be a challenge. Fortunately, you can use Gmail's powerful built-in search tool to find a particular email or attachment based on the keywords and features you select.

Log into your Gmail account at gmail.com.

Click the "Show search options" link to the right of the search box near the top of the page to open a set of options.

Click the "Has attachment" box to limit your search to emails with attachments.

Select the type of email you want to search from the pull-down menu in the Search field. For example, you can restrict your search to emails in your inbox.

Enter the keyword or keywords you want to search for in the "Has the words" field. You can leave this field blank to return a list of all emails that include attachments.

Click "Search mail" and review the results to locate the email with the attachment you're seeking.

Tips & Warnings
Modify your keywords if the first search doesn't locate the email you're seeking. For example, a search for "hotdog" produces different results from a search for "hot dog."
