How to Backup Quicken
Quicken is a financial management program and is used for tracking, managing and organizing finances. The program comes in several versions including: new user, basic, deluxe, premier, home and business. Quicken is both available for PCs and Macs. The software provides users with tools and steps to back up their financial data for emergency and security reasons. Backing up your Quicken data file takes just a few steps.

Close out Quicken if you have it open.

Insert your flash drive into your computer's USB port.

Open Quicken.

Click "File" and "Backup" or "Backup and Restore" and click "Backup Quicken File." This opens the Quicken Backup window. the default file you are currently using is selected by default.

Select the "On my computer (e.g. CD or floppy disk)" option. This option is normally selected by default.

Click on the "Browse" or "Change" button and select your flash drive from the open browse file window. Your drive letter should now be in the" Select the disk drive and path to the backup folder" textbox (e.g. E :\).

Select the "Add date to file name." This option adds today's date to the end of the file.

Click "OK" or "Backup Now." Quicken is now backing up your Data file to your flash drive. When the backup process is complete click "Ok" on the pop-up message box.
