How to Run 32-Bit Programs on 64-Bit Windows 7

Save

Most editions of Windows 7 come either in the 32-bit (x86) or the 64-bit (x64) architectures. Due to efficient memory and processor management, a Windows 7 64-bit computer has more resources available to it than a Windows 7 32-bit computer. You can still run 32-bit programs on Windows 7 64-bit without any issues. Windows 7 64-bit even categorizes 32-bit programs into a special Programs (x86) folder during installation.

  • Install the program. You will not face issues when installing 32-bit programs on Windows 7.

  • Click "Start," "All Programs."

  • Click the 32-bit program to run it.
