How to Change a Password in Talk City
Talk City is a chat website that hosts rooms for a variety of subjects and lifestyles such as networking and dating and ethnic, gender, gay, lesbian and transgender issues. Before you can start or join a chat, you must create a Talk City account. Your Talk City password protects your account and personal information from unauthorized access -- you might need to change it if you suspect your account is compromised.

Open a new Web browser window and visit the Talk City homepage.

Click "Login" in the top right corner of the page. The login page appears.

Enter your "Membername" or email in the top box, your existing password in the bottom and click "Login." Your Talk City homepage appears.

Click "My Preferences" at the bottom of the column on the left side of the screen. Your account preferences appear.

Enter your existing password and new password in the boxes beneath the "Password" heading. Type your new password a second time into the "Confirm New Password" box.

Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click the green "Submit" button. The page reloads and "Password has been changed" appears in red at the top of the screen. Your new password is ready for use.
