Instructions

    • 1

Cut a strip of paper that is about 2-inches long and 1-inch wide. Hold the strip of paper up to your lash line, starting at the inner corner of your eye. Trim the paper until it is about a half-inch wide and so that it matches the curvature of your lash line. The strip of paper will become the base onto which the feathers will be adhered.

    • 2

Select two feathers that are similar in size and pattern. Trim the feathers until they are 1 inch or less in length. Strip the barbs off of one side of one of the cut feathers. Then, strip the barbs off the other feather on the opposite side; the stripped feathers should be mirror images of each other. Creating sections that are mirror images of one another will enable you to create matching left and right lash patterns.

    • 3

Spray each strip of paper with the spray starch. Push the cut feathers into the pieces of paper and hold for at least two minutes. Envision the positioning of the final product to ensure that the feathers are adhered to the paper in the right direction. After the feathers are set, brush them with the comb until they form to a desired position. Spray the feathers with the spray starch to fix their position. Let the lashes dry for at least five minutes.

    • 4

Apply lash glue to the back side of the paper. Let the glue dry until it becomes tacky. Push the lashes into the lash line, starting at the inner corner of the eye. Remove the lashes with care and remove any lash glue with your fingers. Store the lashes for future use in a sealable plastic bag.
