How to Check the Balance on an AT&T Rewards Card

Save

AT&T customers can earn money that is paid out on a Visa prepaid card -- the AT&T Rewards Card. These rewards are loaded onto the customer's AT&T Reward Card. To find out how much is currently on the card, look it up using the AT&T Reward Center website.

Using the Reward Center

  • You can activate the card and check the balance at the AT&T Reward Center. You will need your AT&T Reward card handy so you can enter the card number where prompted. Enter the first four digits of the card number. On the next screen, enter the full card number and your pin. This will activate the card if that's necessary, and show you your balance.

Locating Your Pin Number

  • The pin numbers are the last four digits of your AT&T account number, which can be found at the top of your billing statement. For an example, click on the link for "examples of your pin" at Reward Center. Use the account number for the service which the reward is from. That could be your home telephone number, your DSL direct billing number, your AT&T billing account number or your Digital Life account number.

Contacting Customer Service

  • If you want to talk to a live person, call the Reward Center customer service department between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Central Standard Time weekdays. The number, (800) 288-9983, is the same for residential and business customers. Residential customers can perform an online chat with a representative. Click the "Need Help? Chat Live Now" link on the Contact Us webpage.

Checking Your Reward Status

  • If your balance was not what you expected, you can check the status of your reward to make sure it has been processed. Choose the "Access Your Rewards" option from the AT&T Reward Center. Enter your account number and zip code. While most rewards show up within three weeks of a claim, there are always exceptions. If it's not what it should be, contact customer service at 800-288-9983 to start an investigation.
